Farrar’s, “Trees in Canada ” states there are about 400 species of willow worldwide, with about 100 species occurring in North America. Of these, 62 are native to Canada with about 15 reaching tree size. There are also a number of non-native and naturalized species. Peachleaf Willow is found across southern Ontario and Quebec and the southern portion of the prairie provinces.
